A few weeks ago, the American media reported that posting on medical marijuana portals could be considered a crime even though some states have legalized it. Facebook has therefore decided to protect its users, and by the way itself, and began the removal of sites devoted to this popular plant.

Some US states have legalized the sale of medical marijuana, but publishing online it can still be considered a crime. This is because, at federal level, it is still banned, so this action can be considered to promote intoxicants, and the author of the photo is likely to pay a fine or even hit the grids.

The case was widely echoed in the American media and triggered a Facebook response. The largest social networking site has begun to remove pages devoted to medical marijuana. The message sent to the owners of such sites indicates that the promotion of drug use has ceased to meet the terms and conditions of the portal, and therefore has been removed.
